1) Fetish priest shoot man’s testicles over suspected affair with his wife

A 39-year-old Fetish Priest is being held by the Mankranso Police for allegedly shooting a man in his testicle in a fight over a woman at Dwenewoho in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region.

The victim, Kwasi Peter, 25, was said to have been shot on Monday, January 24, 2022, after accusing the suspect of having sex with his wife.

The suspect who has only been identified as Okomfo Raster according to eye witness shot the victim with a single barrel gun.

2) Bentley to produce first fully electric car in 2025

Luxury British carmaker Bentley said on Wednesday it would start production of its first fully-electric car in 2025, a significant milestone in the Volkswagen AG unit’s planned shift to a fully-electric model line-up by 2030.

Bentley also committed to investing 2.5 billion pounds ($3.4 billion) in sustainability over the next decade.

The carmaker said it would reconfigure its UK plant in Crewe to build the new vehicle. It did not provide further details on what form its first fully-electric vehicle will take.

3) ECOWAS to hold extraordinary summit following back-to-back coup

Leaders of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) will hold an extraordinary summit on Burkina Faso and Mali on Friday, Ivory Coast’s information minister said on Wednesday, after military takeovers in both countries.

The regional bloc strongly condemned Kabore’s ouster, saying he was forced to resign under threat and intimidation.

4) Sony Music acquires Bob Dylan’s catalog of recorded music worth about $200m

Sony Music Entertainment said on Monday it has acquired Bob Dylan’s catalog of recorded music, including his performances of such popular songs as “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” as well as the rights to future releases.

The deal is the latest in Sony Music’s six-decade relationship with the artist, and covers Dylan’s body of work since 1962. Variety cited sources who valued the deal at $150 million to $200 million.

Neither Sony nor Dylan’s representative would comment on deal terms.

5) Aubameyang dropped from Arsenal’s mid-season trip to Dubai’, asked to train alone in London

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly been left in London as the club embarked on a trip to Dubai for a mid-season training camp. 

According to The Telegraph, Aubameyang has been told to train his own even though Jack Wilshere, who is not even contracted to Arsenal but has been training with them, is included on the trip. 

Arsenal are looking to offload the striker, who is on £350,000-a-week, before the end of the transfer window but The Telegraph adds Aubameyang has no interest in heading to Saudi Arabai, where there is interest from Al-Nassr.
