President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has acknowledged that despite his government’s achievements in healthcare, there is still much work to be done.

He emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to improving healthcare and education for all Ghanaians.

He also noted that substantial investments have been made in both sectors to drive national development.

He revealed that the government has invested GH¢33 billion in improving healthcare infrastructure to ensure quality healthcare is accessible to all Ghanaians.

This investment is reflected in the completion of several health facilities, including the University of Ghana Medical Centre, Wa Regional Hospital, and the major rehabilitation of Tamale Teaching Hospital.

“With state-of-the-art facilities and resources, UHAS will be at the forefront of health research and innovation, positioning Ghana as a leader in healthcare on the continent.

We extend our deepest appreciation to the Government and People of the People’s Republic of China for their generous support in this endeavor.

“As we reflect on these achievements, I am reminded of the importance of vision, hard work, and perseverance.

Our journey is far from over, and we remain committed to improving healthcare and education for all Ghanaians. Thank you, UHAS, for this great honour, and may God bless our homeland Ghana,” Mr Akufo-Addo said.
