The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has announced the completion of 16 Community Day Senior High School building projects, commonly referred to as E-Blocks.

These projects were initiated during the tenure of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
Richard Ampofo Boadu, the administrator of GETFund, made this revelation during his appearance on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Friday, November 1, 2024.
He emphasized the importance of these E-Blocks in enhancing access to secondary education and improving educational infrastructure across the country.
Boadu highlighted the commitment of GETFund to continue supporting educational development initiatives aimed at providing quality learning environments for students in Ghana.
The completion of these schools marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to increase educational opportunities, particularly in underserved communities.
” For the E-blocks that they said we have abandoned, they completed 22 for the GETFUND one, because it was 101, so they completed 22 as in December 2016.
”We have completed 16 of that, so the initiator even did 22 and we have done 16. The other thing is that 21 of them, we have revised the rate for it to be completed.”
“We realised that the contractor’s payment does not necessarily translate into project completion, so even though we have paid the contractors that time, we found out that some projects were left,” he said.
