We will not be distracted by NAPO’s insults

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described allegations made by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as “unfortunate.”

Dr. Prempeh, commonly known as NAPO, accused the NDC of being responsible for the deaths of two pastors and a traditionalist, and for demolishing mosques.

He suggested these issues as reasons for Zongo communities to vote against the NDC in the upcoming elections.

In response, the NDC has stated that it will not be swayed by such accusations and will remain focused on addressing the country’s economic challenges.

Mustapha Gbande, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, told Citi News, “If the NPP’s strategy is to use insults to win power, I don’t think that’s what Ghanaians need right now.

Insults won’t convince even NPP supporters to vote for them because they don’t address the real issues, such as putting food on the table.”

“That does not solve the Ghanaian problem. The solution to the Ghanian problem is what the NDC put out by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

“We expect the NPP to do the same, but they have lost that opportunity. That is why they are resorting to these kinds of insults.

The least that society expects him to do is what he is engaging in.

“So the NDC will not follow into the gutter. We will leave him there, but we are more focused on the Ghanaian problem, solving the Ghanaian problem. We are more centred on how to build a country.”
