The former Member of Parliament for Techiman North and ex-Deputy Education Minister under the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alex Kyeremeh, has assured the residents of the Kintampo South constituency that the NDC is determined to reclaim the seat in the upcoming December 7 elections.

Kyeremeh attributed the party’s previous loss in the constituency to internal disunity, marking the first time since 1992 that the NDC has lost this seat.
However, he emphasized that these issues have been resolved, instilling renewed hope for victory.
“I have done everything possible to address the problem. There was disunity among party members, but we have managed to unite everyone, and we are confident that this time we will regain our seat,” he stated.
He made these comments during a community engagement event as part of a tour by NDC Vice Presidential candidate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, on Friday, October 18.
Kyeremeh also highlighted that Kintampo South is the home constituency of former First Lady Lordina Mahama, underscoring the importance of winning the seat as a gesture of appreciation for her longstanding support of the area.
Additionally, Kyeremeh criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing to bring meaningful development to the constituency during their time in power. He urged voters to remove the NPP from office, arguing that the constituency has seen little improvement under their leadership.
“Everything you see here is a result of the NDC, and for the past eight years, they have done nothing,” he concluded.
