John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged to launch an uncompromising campaign against corruption if elected.

At the NDC 2024 manifesto launch at the University of Education, Winneba, Mahama outlined his administration’s commitment to preventing politically exposed persons, political appointees, and public officials from acquiring state assets.
He emphasized that this policy would also apply to his own family, ensuring that neither he, his wife, nor his children would be permitted to purchase state assets due to their political status.
Mahama argued that this measure is crucial for restoring public trust and ensuring transparency in government dealings.
“We will embark on a ruthless war against corruption,” he declared.
“We will prohibit politically exposed persons, political appointees, and public officials from purchasing state assets.
This rule will apply not only to me but also to my wife and children, as they are political figures.”
He stressed the need for stringent measures to combat corruption and prevent the misuse of public resources, assuring Ghanaians that the NDC is dedicated to establishing a government based on integrity and accountability.
