The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reiterated its commitment to utilizing its victory in the December 7 general elections as a stepping stone for Ghana’s progress and prosperity.
In a press briefing at the party’s headquarters on Sunday, December 8, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey emphasized the NDC’s focus on serving the nation responsibly with its newly secured mandate.

Kwetey also called on the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, to ensure the timely declaration of results, urging that the process should not be unduly delayed. He expressed confidence in the party’s decisive and undeniable victory.
“We have secured a very significant majority and a majority that we aim to use responsibly and for the progress of the people of Ghana.
“The process as far as the presidential result is also concerned, we will urge the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa and her team to make sure the declaration is not unduly delayed because we know for a fact that nothing can be done about it because it is already in the bag.”
