West Ham United have finalized the signing of defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United for £15 million.

The 26-year-old has signed a seven-year contract with the Hammers.

Wan-Bissaka is West Ham’s seventh summer signing, joining Jean-Clair Todibo, Crysencio Summerville, Luis Guilherme, Niclas Fullkrug, Max Kilman, and Guido Rodriguez.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the move, Wan-Bissaka said, “It was a no-brainer for me to join West Ham.

I’m excited and happy to be here. I can’t wait to get on the pitch, get to know the players, and push on from there.

I see a team that is in it together, that will push each other to win, and a group that has got each other’s backs through thick and thin.

Being part of that and having that insurance helps a lot when you are surrounded by a good squad.”

Born in London, Wan-Bissaka is excited to return to his hometown, describing it as an “amazing feeling.”

He previously joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace in a £50 million transfer in 2019.

During his four years at Old Trafford, Wan-Bissaka made 190 appearances and scored two goals.

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed him in 2019, Wan-Bissaka was the main right-back.

However, after Erik ten Hag became manager in 2022, his role decreased, but he still played 64 times over the past two seasons.
