A tragic incident has unfolded in Ghana, sparking widespread outrage and debates on the rising trend of mob justice.
Wilberforce Appiah, a young musician known as Wyllbee, met his untimely demise in Abuakwa-Tanoso, Ashanti Region.

He had traveled to visit his acquaintance, Nana Yaa, but was accused of theft by her relative, leading to a deadly mob attack.
According to reports, Wilberforce Appiah was confronted by Nana Yaa’s relative around 1 a.m. on July 5, when he stepped out to urinate in the compound where he was staying.
He was unable to provide an answer when questioned about his identity and attempted to flee, scaling the compound wall.
A mob chased and attacked him, leading to his lynching and subsequent death at the hospital.
Nana Yaa’s husband, Kingsley, has publicly denied allegations of an affair between his wife and Wilberforce Appiah, labeling the deceased a thief who threatened his family.
He claimed that his wife was sleeping with their son when the incident occurred and that the narrative of an affair was untrue.
However, Wilberforce Appiah’s family vehemently disputes these claims, stating their son was simply visiting his friend and met an unfortunate end.
The family is seeking justice and hoping for the arrest of all persons involved in the tragic incident.
The death of Wilberforce Appiah has sparked a national conversation on mob justice, with many calling for an end to vigilantism and the protection of human life.
