The long-standing rivalry between Nigerian Afrobeats stars, Davido (David Adeleke) and Wizkid (Ayodeji Balogun), has resurfaced. The latest clash unfolded on Tuesday after Davido teased his fans with a snippet of his upcoming 2024 single.

Coincidentally, Wizkid was also gearing up to release the first track from his highly anticipated “Morayo” album. The tension escalated when Davido’s associate, Kayode Yajaur, aka Black Tycoone, tweeted, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already,” seemingly mocking Wizkid.

Unbothered, Wizkid responded on X (formerly Twitter) by throwing shade at Davido’s camp, saying, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” followed by, “You’re all tired! Take a break!”

While he didn’t mention Davido directly, fans quickly interpreted the tweet as a shot at the “Unavailable” singer. A fan even accused Wizkid of clout-chasing to promote his upcoming song, prompting Wizkid to deny it and dismiss Davido’s talent, replying, “I don’t beef wack people! We all know he’s wack! No talent!”

Wizkid continued his rant, calling Davido’s albums “trash” and bragging about his own superior work, saying, “80 trash! We’ve got 80 albums for any song you drop! P***y boys!”

Despite the harsh words, Davido has chosen to remain silent, not engaging in the ongoing feud.
