President John Dramani Mahama has underscored the importance of empowering and uplifting women across all sectors of life.

In a message marking International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8, he called on Ghanaians to work together to build a society where every woman has the opportunity to reach her full potential.
Reflecting on Ghana’s strides in gender equality, President Mahama highlighted the historic election of the nation’s first female Vice President and encouraged continued efforts to advance this progress.
He also stressed the need to prioritize women’s empowerment in education, business, politics, and leadership, urging collective action to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
President Mahama posted on Facebook, “Happy International Women’s Day! This year’s theme, #AccelerateAction, calls for urgent measures to ensure that we achieve gender equality. Ghana has made some significant strides, particularly in electing its first female Vice President. Let’s build on this momentum.
