The Overlord of Gonjaland, His Royal Majesty Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewusoale I, has urged President-elect John Dramani Mahama to continue implementing policies that align with the hopes and aspirations of the Ghanaian people.

During a courtesy visit by Mahama, Yagbonwura reminded him of the social contract he holds with Ghanaians, emphasizing that he must live up to his responsibilities.

“It is our fervent hope that as you prepare for your inauguration on January 7, 2025, you will continue to implement policies and programs that resonate with the aspirations of our people,” Yagbonwura said.

He further reminded Mahama of the gravity of the social contract, stating, “Mr. President-elect, as you embark on this new chapter, I must remind you that you have entered a social contract with the people of Ghana.”

Yagbonwura also noted that the renewal of Mahama’s mandate was a clear testament to his exemplary works during his previous works.

He noted that posterity had vindicated his efforts, adding that Ghanaians had expressed their confidence in Mahama’s ability to take the country to greater heights.
