A new poll by Global InfoAnalytics shows a tightening race among potential contenders for the flagbearer slot of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2028 elections.

The poll, shared by the Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, on Monday, April 13, 2026, indicates that Asiedu Nketia continues to lead in a “top-of-the-mind” baseline survey of the party’s potential flagbearer race.

However, his lead has narrowed significantly within a week—from 16 percentage points in Week 1 to 10 percentage points in Week 2—suggesting intensifying competition.

In the latest poll (Week 2), Asiedu Nketia secured 29 percent support, followed by Ato Forson with 19 percent, while Haruna Iddrisu polled 11 percent. Julius Debrah and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang recorded 8 percent each.

A notable 24% of respondents remained undecided, indicating potential volatility in the race.

In Week 1, Asiedu Nketia had led with 28 percent, followed by a significantly higher undecided bloc at 36 percent, while other contenders trailed.

According to the poll, the narrowing gap suggests that while Asiedu Nketia remains the frontrunner, his dominance is being challenged, even as uncertainty persists over which candidates will officially contest the race.
