Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Abura Asebu-Kwamankese, has made serious allegations against Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, accusing him of corruption and nepotism, similar to what he attributes to President Nana Akufo-Addo.
During a debate on corruption on the “Point of View” program on Channel One TV, Kwakye Ofosu highlighted that several of Bawumia’s close relatives hold key positions in the government, implying a pattern of favoritism and cronyism.
He stated, “Bawumia is part of this government. Every form of corruption present in this administration, he also engages in.
He practices the same nepotism that President Akufo-Addo practices. As I speak, his father-in-law, his brother-in-law, and his brother are all in government.”
Kwakye Ofosu also criticized Bawumia’s position on sole sourcing, a controversial procurement method in Ghanaian politics.
“How can Bawumia say that he was against sole sourcing in opposition and gleefully allow sole sourcing to take place when he is Vice President?” Kwakye Ofosu questioned.
