The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has given the Electoral Commission (EC) a one-week ultimatum to address concerns about alleged discrepancies in the voter register and facilitate an independent forensic audit.

On Tuesday, September 17, the NDC organized its much-anticipated ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstration against the EC across all 16 regions of the country.
Thousands of NDC supporters, dressed in party colors, marched through major cities nationwide, demanding accountability and calling for an audit of the 2024 voter register.
In an interview on Eyewitness News, NDC Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi stated that the EC has one week to address their concerns.
He warned that if the commission fails to comply, the NDC will initiate a series of actions to force the EC to respond.
“Well, what next is simple, we are giving the EC one week and we hope to hear from them favourably. We hope that their conscience will prick them to do the sensible thing which is to allow for the register to be audited if they have nothing to hide.
“If we do not hear favourably from them in the next one week, the NDC will roll out a series of activities that will be undertaken to compel the electoral commission to do the right thing, it is as simple as that,” he stated.
