The leadership of the New Patriotic Party overseeing the upcoming constituency elections in New Juaben South has cautioned aspirants to desist from using monetary incentives to influence delegates.

Addressing the media after the close of nominations, NPP National Representative for the constituency elections, Peter Kosoe, warned candidates against offering cash incentives during their campaign.

He said monetising the electoral process could deepen divisions and create post-election tensions within the party in the constituency.
He appealed to all aspirants to prioritise unity, decorum, and

disciplined campaigning as the party prepares for the polls.
According to him, delegates should be engaged based on ideas, track record, and vision for the constituency rather than financial inducements.

The warning comes amid growing concerns across party ranks about the increasing use of money in internal elections.

New Juaben South is one of the key NPP constituencies in the Eastern Region, and party leadership says it wants the process to reflect the NPP’s values of integrity and unity.
