Branch women executives of the National Democratic Congress in the Awutu Senya East Constituency are pressing for reconciliation among feuding party leaders, warning that unresolved tensions could damage the party’s electoral prospects.

The women, during a visit to Constituency Chairman Stephen Ofosu Agyare, appealed to leadership to urgently mend divisions within the local party structure.

They cautioned that continued wrangling at the top was trickling down to the grassroots and could affect voter mobilization and campaign coordination ahead of the 2026 elections.“Continued tensions could affect the party’s electoral fortunes,” the women executives stressed during the engagement with Chairman Ofosu Agyare.

The call for unity comes at a time when Awutu Senya East, a key swing constituency, remains politically competitive.
Party executives say internal cohesion is critical if the NDC is to retain and expand its base in the area.

Chairman Ofosu Agyare received the delegation and acknowledged their concerns, pledging to work with all factions to restore harmony within the constituency.

Political analysts note that reconciliation efforts by women organizers often play a decisive role in cooling tensions at the constituency level, given their influence at the branch level.
