Barcelona has reignited its interest in Thomas Partey, a talented midfielder for the Black Stars, as the Spanish club seeks to bolster its defensive midfield options in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Although Partey was on Barcelona’s radar during the January transfer window, the Catalan side didn’t pursue a deal at the time.

However, according to Adrian Sanchez, a reputable Catalan journalist, Partey has once again been shortlisted by Barcelona for a potential summer transfer.

Reports suggest that Barcelona is keen on signing Partey on a loan deal, with the club’s hierarchy impressed by his skills and experience.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, Partey’s current club, is open to letting him go for a fee ranging from £20 to £25 million.

The Gunners have already identified Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz as a potential replacement for Partey, should he depart this summer.

Partey joined Arsenal in 2020, signing a five-year contract with the North London club. With only one year remaining on his deal, his future at the club remains uncertain.
