The Awutu Senya East branch of the New Patriotic Party, has condemned what it describes as an attack on staff of Obaatanpa Radio and the station’s subsequent temporary closure.
In a statement, the constituency executives accused NDC Central Regional Chairman, Richard Asiedu, and Awutu Senya East MCE, Seth Banini, of being behind actions that undermine press freedom and media independence.
The NPP is demanding a full police investigation into the incident while calling on the NDC national leadership to take immediate action against the two officials.
